Kari Kohl-Bruch

Kari Kohls-Bruch

Kari Kohls-Bruch has studied & received her training throughout the United States. She currently owns her own studio & is the director/choreographer of the Starfire Dance Company. Kari has performed & choreographed for a large variety of shows in her career. Disney World, Six Flags, Disneyland of Paris, Boatmen's Bank, Tanzsommer Festival, Dolly Madison, JC Penney & Maurice's are but a few of the companies that Kari has worked with.

Kari has conducted classes on the convention circuit for Dance Olympus, Dance Caravan, PDTA & Starlight. She spends much of her time choreographing competitive material & teaching master classes for students all over the United States.


Barry Youngblood

Barry  has worked with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Jordan Knight, Christina Aguilera, Plus One,  Pink,  Brian Mcknight and J.Lo (Jennifer Lopez). He has choreographed industrials for Sega Dreamcast, Nike, Reebok, NAMCO, AND Skechers.  His television credits include MTV Awards,  VH1 Awards, Miss America Pagent with Donnie Osmond, The Today Show, Regis and Kelly, The Young and The Restless, The Dove Awards, Nikki Cox Show, J.Lo NBC Special, and the Soul Train Music Awards with Busta Rhymes, and P. Diddy. He also performed for the Queen of England and with Kid Rock, Ja Rule AND J.Lo for the USO Show in Ramkin, Germany for the troops.  Barry has choreographed music video's for such artist as Rachael Lampa, Brian McKnight and Nelly.  He was a featured dancer in the movie "Bringing Down the Houze" with Steve Martin and Queen Latifa. You can also see his choreography on the UDA Div 1 national hip hop champions Hofstra University, USA national champs Idaho State University and the 3 time nationals UDA Div 1A hip hop champions Cincinnati Bearcats.


Leslie Rutledge

Leslie originates from Owasso, Oklahoma.  She recieved her formal training under Kari Kohls Bruch of Starfire Dance Company. Leslie was a featured performer at the Tanzommer Dance Festival traveling Austria, Italy and Germany.  She has since assisted choreography on many projects including Opening Numbers at Starlight Production National Finals, travels as an Apprentice for Company Dance and most recently became a faculty member of Nexus Dance Conventions.

She can currently be seen in the Hanson video "Thinking About Something"  and their upcoming "Give A Little"  video.  Leslie performed at the Grand Opening of the new Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and was recently part of the Global Dance Convention in Sydney, Australia.  Leslie continues to travel, choreograph and perform at every opportunity.


Katie Burris

Katie’s enthusiastic attitude and passion for dance began at a young age. She received her dance training through Kari Kohls-Bruch of Starfire Dance Company. Katie has also assisted Kari in several opening numbers for Starlight National Competitions and choreography across the United States. She has won many awards throughout her years of dancing. Katie has performed at the Tanzommer Dance Festival touring Austria, Germany, and Italy. She also has performed at Disney and Miss Teen America events. Currently, Katie teaches dance and is a Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader.  She loves to choreograph routines for the cheerleaders and many local high school dance and cheer teams. Her most recent accomplishment was performing for several military bases throughout Iraq.


Meghan Way

Meghan Way is originally from St. Louis, MO. She now is living in Los Angeles working as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer.

As a dancer, she grew up assisting and learning from Liz Imperio, Tyce Diorio, and Doug Caldwell, among others. She has worked on industrials for Wrigley's, GE, Redken, and Tarbell Realty. Meghan has been in commercials for Carvel Ice Cream and John Robert Powers alongside the stars of “High School Musical,” and as a featured dancer on “Lopez Tonight”. In the concert world, she has been a part of Gregg Russell’s “Tapsounds Underground”, Nichelle Bane’s “Reflections Dance Company”, and Joelle Martinec’s “SoleVita”. Meghan has also performed at Harrah’s Casino for New Years and Disneyland’s “Snow White”. Most recently, Meghan performed and lived short term in Shanghai, China, where she represented America under direction of Teresa Taylor and JoAnn Jansen at the 2010 World Expo.
         
 Meghan has been given many opportunities to inspire as a teacher and choreographer as well. Recently, she assisted JoJo Diggs in Tokyo, Japan training “Johnny and Co.” boy pop bands. Meghan has taught at the EDGE in Hollywood, and was on guest faculty for LA Dance Force. She has been blessed to have the opportunity to also teach for DMA, Dance Olympus, Idyllwild School of Music and Arts, Boogiezone University, Robert Schultz’s “Artists in Training”, and Gregg Russell’s “3D Dance Network”. She has traveled across the country to teach and choreograph at numerous studios, and has had the chance to educate internationally in Canada, Guatemala, and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Her choreography was seen at the Guatemalan National Theater in the seasonal show, ''Navidad Fantastico''. Additionally, she has choreographed for Tapsounds Underground, the University of Missouri Golden Girls, and numerous times for Carnival at the Key Club in Los Angeles.
Meghan enjoys judging, and has critiqued nationally for Hall of Fame Dance Challenge, Starlight, VIP Dance, and Odyssey. She has also adjudicated for Quest Productions in Canada.            

           

Lastly, Meghan has received the opportunity to perform in Singapore, England, Germany, and Switzerland with the performing arts company, “Urban Poets”, based out of her church Mosaic in Los Angeles.
